Consultation event for Cowbridge Road East. Staff member speaking to member of public.

We are creating a Placemaking Plan for the wards of Adamsdown and Splott — and we want to hear from you.

This plan will be developed with the community to help identify:

  • local priorities
  • key issues or problems
  • opportunities for the future

This plan will focus on improving the places where people live, work, and spend time. To do this properly, we need to understand your lived experience of the area.

This questionnaire is the first stage of the process. It asks about:

  • everyday experiences of local centres, streets and public spaces
  • movement and travel around the area
  • access to green spaces and play
  • community life
  • longer‑term opportunities for the neighbourhood

Over the summer, we will also:

  • hold in‑person engagement sessions;
  • speak with community groups and local organisations; and
  • come to speak to people at local community events and clubs.

Following this stage, we will begin developing a range of options. These may include:

  • shorter‑term changes
  • longer‑term projects involving different partners

Throughout the process, we will continue to work with the community to shape and refine these options.

Co‑developing the Placemaking Plan will help to:

  • coordinate planned changes across the area
  • support future access to relevant funding programmes

Have your say

The survey will be open between 10th July and 16th August 2026.

The form is available in English, Welsh, Polish, and Arabic. If you would like to fill in this form in a different language, please contact us using the ‘contact us’ form.

You can also come and talk to us about your area at:

  • STAR Hub, Splott: 16 July, 3pm–6pm
  • Splott Community Volunteers, Old STAR, Splott Road: 28 July, 6pm–8pm
  • 28 Clifton Street: 5 August, 3pm–6pm
