The St Mellons Community Living project is a redevelopment of the former Youth Community Centre. The site is located on Crickhowell Road, forms part of the St Mellons District Centre and within walking distance of local shopping facilities and St Mellons Hub.
The proposal will deliver high-quality independent living accommodation that provides modern spacious homes for older people to ensure residents can live a full and active life in an accessible location.
The development will provide:
- one and two bed self-contained apartments.
- On-site communal facilities including electric scooter charging, bicycle storage, activity rooms, residents’ lounges, health suite and landscaped communal gardens.
Current status
Following the administration of the original contractor, we have been working hard to appoint a new Contractor, we are currently at the final stages of negotiation and anticipate that work on-site will recommence this summer. The work will take around 18 months to complete and we look forward to housing our tenants from the summer of 2025.
