Cardiff Council is pleased to share the final design for the new Heol Trelai Play Park.

The proposed scheme, themed around games and puzzles, will offer a range of play equipment suitable for toddlers, juniors, and teenagers. It will also include accessible play features and areas designed to encourage natural play.

The project will start on 9th February 2026 and will be completed early Summer.

Following engagement with residents close to Caerau Hill Fort / Church Road, it has been decided not to proceed with any additional equipment at Caerau Hill Fort. This was due to numerous concerns about anti-social behaviour returning and equipment being damaged again, following fire damage previously.
