The playground at Heol Trelai was completed as part of Cardiff Council’s 2025/26 Neighbourhood Renewal Scheme (NRS) Programme. The project was put forward by local ward members to improve play opportunities for children and young people in the area.
The playground was transformed with new play equipment and surfacing, centred around a games and puzzles theme. The improved facility provides a range of play opportunities for toddlers, juniors and teenagers, including accessible play features and areas designed to encourage imaginative and natural play.
The scheme was funded by Cardiff Council, the Welsh Government and the UK Government, helping to create a modern, inclusive and engaging play space for local families and visitors to enjoy.
