Cardiff Council undertook environmental improvements to Birchgrove Shops as part of the Neighbourhood Renewal Scheme (NRS) Programme (25-26).

Improvements included:

  • Addressing paving along 69-103 Caerphilly Road outside the shops
  • Jet washing paving throughout the areas outside the shops
  • New planters
  • New cycle stands
  • Refurbishment of bollards
  • Community notice board
  • Lamppost banners
  • Street view of Birchgrove shops including a bridal boutique displaying wedding dresses, a Principality Building Society branch, and a red post box on a wide paved pavement.
