This project has been completed.

Aerial view of a park with a large grassy area and scattered trees on the left, and a partially visible playground on the right. The playground includes a circular track with road markings and a central play zone with equipment. Several people are walking and gathering along the paths and near the play area. Dense trees form the background, with a town visible in the far distance.

The Neighbourhood Renewal Scheme (NRS) is a city-wide initiative which aims to address local regeneration priorities. The programme delivers small scale regeneration projects put forward by Local Members. Projects are designed and developed in partnership with local residents, community groups and agencies to address an identified need or problem.

Following ideas put forward by Local Ward Members and comments received at an engagement event held in 2024, the new play area at Splott Park, which has a games and puzzle theme, now provides equipment for toddlers, juniors and teens as well as accessible play equipment and natural play areas.

An opening event was held on the 18th July to officially open the new play area.
