Cardiff Council is planning improvements to the public realm in the Lower Cathedral Road shopping area in Riverside, as part of the Neighbourhood Renewal Scheme (NRS) Programme. We want to make the area safer, more attractive, and more enjoyable for everyone.

Proposed improvements include:

  • Resurfacing footpaths near the shopping area
  • Installation of a zebra crossing
  • Adding green features to enhance the look and feel of the area
  • Replacing cycle stands and waste bins
  • Removing railings and installing bollards for a cleaner, more open space
