Cardiff Council is planning to upgrade the play facility at Heol Trelai Recreation Ground, Caerau, as part of the Neighbourhood Renewal Scheme Programme (NRS) that delivers improvement projects suggested by local Councillors.
There is also opportunity to install smaller-scale play elements at Caerau Hill Fort / Church Road, such as a slide and natural play.
We want to hear your thoughts to help shape the plans for the new play facility.
We’re also taking this opportunity to gather ideas for future improvements to the wider park, which could follow once the playground is complete.
Possible future improvements could include:
- Relocating the skatepark from Trelai Park to Heol Trelai Recreation ground, with a new concrete skatepark installed
- Creating new paths or trails through the park.
- Adding trees, benches and natural play features.
Keep an eye on the website for updates as the project develops.
