Galston Street, Garesfield Street and Anderson Place, Adamsdown

Project overview

Galston Street, Garesfield Street and Anderson Place are housing estates located in the Adamsdown ward. They were built in the 1970’s and consist of a mixture of terraced houses and three-storey blocks of flats.

The Neighbourhood Regeneration Team worked with local residents, councillors and other stakeholders to deliver an environmental regeneration scheme that will modernise the area. The works were completed in Autumn 2019.

Works completed

Improvements included:

• The gating of some gullies to improve security.
• Upgraded courtyard areas
• New courtyard bin stores
• Additional litter bins
• Resurfacing footpaths, roads and parking areas.
