Some people are walking along the sidewalk in the distance. Double yellow lines run along the curb.

Cardiff Council will be undertaking improvements to the Maindy Road / Gelligaer Street junction as part of the Neighbourhood Renewal Scheme (NRS) programme.

The improvements include:

  • Junction narrowing
  • Footpath widening
  • Pedestrian crossing
  • Greening opportunities

Kordel have been appointed as principal contractors and will be carrying out the works on behalf of Cardiff Council, commencing on the 2nd February. The project will take approximately 6 weeks to complete. During this time, a certain amount of disruption is likely to occur, however every effort will be made to keep this to a minimum.
