Cardiff Council has announced its Neighbourhood Renewal Scheme (NRS) programme for 2025, underscoring its continued commitment to investing in communities across the city.
The Neighbourhood Renewal Scheme programme is a city-wide initiative which aims to address local regeneration priorities. The programme delivers small scale regeneration projects put forward by Local Members and aims to enhance neighbourhoods and improve quality of life for residents. They are designed and delivered in partnership with key stakeholders, including local businesses, residents and community groups.
This year, 27 project ideas were submitted by local councillors and each proposal was assessed against key criteria including regeneration impact, sustainability, tackling disadvantage, community involvement, and deliverability.
One of the projects selected for delivery this year is the MUGA relocation at Hailey Park to provide a new modern and inclusive facility.
Project information
Current status
Cardiff Council is pleased to share exciting new plans for a New Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) in Hailey Park.
Following engagement with over 180 local children, a design has been created to provide a new modern and inclusive facility. The existing MUGA will be removed and laid to grass following completion of the new facility.
Tredomen have been appointed as principal contractors and will be carrying out the works on behalf of Cardiff Council, commencing on the 3rd November. The project will take approximately 12 weeks to complete.
During this time, a certain amount of disruption is likely to occur, however every effort will be made to keep this to a minimum.
This page will be updated as progress continues.
