

Cardiff Council will be undertaking environmental improvements to Countisbury Avenue Shops as part of the Neighbourhood Renewal Scheme (NRS) Programme.
Improvements include:
- Road resurfacing
- New parking layout (no reduction in parking spaces)
- Existing slabbed pavement cleaned and repaired
- Upgrade of pedestrian crossing points
- Pavement resurfacing
- Highway improvements around carwash area
- Additional cycle stands, new bins and bollards
- Tree planting
- New CCTV camera
- Chicanes added at both ends of the lane between Countisbury Avenue and Crediton Road.
Horan Construction have been appointed as the principal contractor and will be carrying out the works on behalf of Cardiff Council, commencing on 9th February. The project will take approximately 6 weeks to complete.
There will be restricted parking in the area whilst these works are being carried out. Access to properties and shops will be maintained at all times, with disruption for residents and shop owners kept to a minimum where possible.

Road Closure
The road in front of the shops and behind the carwash will be closed for resurfacing works every night from 6pm – 12am from 16th to 21st March 2026.
