This project has been completed.

As part of the Neighbourhood Renewal Scheme Programme (NRS), environmental enhancements have been completed at the road ends of Craddock Street, Wyndham Street, Littleton Street, and Kingston Road, Riverside.
These improvements aim to create safer, more attractive, and accessible public spaces for residents and visitors.
The works were shaped by feedback from local residents and councillors, with a strong focus on creating welcoming and engaging spaces for the community.
Highlights include:
- Footpath and public realm resurfacing with decorative paving.
- New and replacement bollards, including ‘shared surface’ bollards to improve accessibility for pedestrians and cyclists
- Tree planting, including expandable surfaces to support root growth
- Removal of damaged planters, replaced with urban street game designs painted on central paving areas
- Utility cabinet artwork, creatively camouflaged with designs by children from Kitchener Primary School
- Bollard artwork also designed by local children, adding a playful and personal touch to the streetscape.
These enhancements reflect the Council’s commitment to improving neighbourhood environments, promoting community pride, and encouraging active use of shared public spaces.
